Baseball Hall of Fame

While camping in NY we took a trip to the National Baseball Hall of Fame in Cooperstown, NY.

This was my first trip to the Hall of Fame in a long time and it was Riley, Peyton, and Miana's first trip ever. I think they had a realy good time. Well...Peyton & Riley did anyway. Milana was just sort of along for the ride. Fortunately she likes her stroller :)

Here are the girls sitting outside the Hall of Fame.

Don't the girls look cozy inside Hank Aaron's locker?

Gotta love "New York, New York!" (Great, now that song is stuck in my head).

Yes, Milana IS sleeping in these pictures. We were just wandering around checking things out and the next thing I know Milana is out cold.

Isn't she cute?

I love my Yankees :)

Peyton & Riley were such good sports about getting there picture taken every couple minutes :)

This was before Milana fell asleep. She must have tired herself out in this little room made especially for kids.

I have many, many more pictures of the Hall of Fame, but figured most people would be more interested in the ones with the girls in them. They were all good sports about our trip through the Hall of Fame. I think we were in there for at least 3 hours.

The only thing that would have made this trip better is if Chris was able to join us. Maybe next time!

Please Help the Parker Family

This is the Parker Family - one of many Reece's Rainbow Families. I was fortunate enough to meet Kate and Charlie when I was in Kiev. I was finishing up the last few things that needed to be done with our adoption of Milana. Kate & Charlie were just arriving to adopt 2 beautiful little girls with Down Syndrome.

This there son Joshua. He was born on March 2, 2006. He was diagnosed with a form of spina bifida which is called lipomyelomeningocele. Joshua also has a partial duplication of chromosome 2. He has Chiari Malformation Type 1. He has connective tissue disorder, brain stem dysfunction, psuedotumor cerebri, apraxia of speech, a latex allergy, gastroparesis, neurogenic bowl and bladder, a g-tube, a port, and a lumboperitoneal shunt.

Please visit Josh's Caring Bridge page for more information. It can be found by going to www.caringbridge.org/visit/theyoungestof7.

Joshua's health has been deteriorating for some time now. Kate & Charlie have been trying to keep his pain free as much as possible. There is nothing more the doctors can do to help Joshua. He is dying. His parents, his brothers, and sisters are preparing to say goodbye to their son, to their brother. It is such a sad time in their lives. Can you imagine having to say goodbye to your 5 year old? It isn't fair!

Joshua's Daddy works very hard. He works long hours to provide for his family. He used all of the time off he could take in order to adopt his 2 little girls from Ukraine. Now the Parker family needs your help. They need help financially so that Charlie can take time off of work to spend time with his son.

Some amazing friends of the Parker's have created a blog to help make it easy for people to donate to them. You can visit that blog at www.helpparkerfamily.blogspot.com. Please consider donating to them and helping them out. Please share there story so that others will help.

Kate & Charlie are good people. They have such a strong faith in God. They don't understand why their son is dying, but they stand strong in their faith. Knowing your child is dying still hurts. They need as much support as they can get. They need financial support, emotional support, they need our prayers. Please help them in some way.

Our Busy Summer Part 1

This summer has been very busy for us. As soon as school was out we headed to my parents house in NY where we got to spend lots of time with family. After leaving my parents house we headed to the Reece's Rainbow Family Reunion - a camping trip at Jellystone near Cooperstown, NY. We had a wonderful time meeting other adoptive families. We also got to visit the folks at Pathfinder Village.

I love this - Milana & Milana!

Molly, Nicholas (what a sweetie), me & Milana

Not sure what happened to this picture of Milana and Nicholas.

Bella and Milana

Milana made lots of friends at Pathfinder. She was a big hit. Everyone wanted to hold her and give her a big hug :)

Here are the girls in our cabin at Jellystone.

I love this picture of Milana trying to kiss Bella!

My beautiful big girls!

Reece was such a love bug with Milana. He was constantly trying to hug her. Too cute!

The girls all made lots of friends and of course so did I. When it was time for our trip to end it was bittersweet. It was nice to be finally going home after 3 weeks away, but we all knew we'd miss our new friends and the fun times we had together.
